About the Event
With so much going on at once, we can get caught up in the wave and not have space to process how we are feeling.
This workshop will be creating space to process current global pandemic, racial trauma and gender-based violence as black trans and non binary people. We'll be discussing grounding tools and self-care tips under distress.
Led By:
Cuyana Davis-Carter, LCPC
(they/them) is a black, queer, non-binary graduate of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Adler University and currently works in a private practice setting as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. In addition to consulting work, conducting groups, and facilitating workshops, they primarily counsel individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC folks -and people who fall within those intersections. Cuyana hopes to continue to provide therapeutic space for people who are often pushed to the margins of society and is excited to share with and learn from participants in this workshop.
& K. Tajhi Claybren, LMSW, LCSW
K. Tajhi (they/them) is a black, queer, non-binary healer and social worker committed to supporting the healing (individual and collective), self-actualization and liberation of black trans and non-binary individuals and communities. They are currently a staff therapist at Integrative Empowerment Group, LLC in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI.
